Trainings and Consultation
My consultation work focuses on building emotional resilience, addressing campus climate concerns, postvention and crisis response, and culturally responsive wellness and mental health care in higher education and organizational settings.
These trainings can be adjusted to fit the needs of different audiences. For example, I often “train the trainers” on many topics, but can also provide direct interventions to students, organizations or other affected populations.

In addition, I have extensive experience in creating ad hoc and/or supplemental systems of care during and after crises. Organizations have consulted with me in building drop-in counseling services, sending clear and caring communications, creating group dialogues around difficult topics, and responding to the culturally specific needs of particular communities.

Leadership, Prevention and Campus Outreach Work
Some highlights include:
- 10 years experience supervising licensed staff psychologists, predoctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows.
- Directed Prevention and Outreach Services including postvention, wellness programming, suicide prevention, peer education programs, and culturally adaptive clinical and prevention series for underrepresented and underserved populations such as undocumented students, LGBTQ+, Veterans and transfer students.

Some highlights of this work:
- Created and chaired an interdisciplinary Transgender Wellness Team to address TGNC (transgender and gender non-conforming) student needs, provide case consultation for gender health providers, and advocate for trans inclusive campus services.
- Collaborated with a core team of wellness experts to build a new center on campus named RISE, or Resilience in your Student Experience, that offers holistic practices to build resilience and wellness.
- Created consultation spaces for clinical and student affairs staff to support dialogues around culture and mental health.
